Continiued

Wow now I am super far behind. Anyway, in November we welcomed Aaron's little brother Jeffery home from his mission in Spain. We had been looking forward to his return, and being able to go to the airport and see him but the morning of, one of Aaron's employees called in sick, which meant he didn't have enough coverage. We were so sad. As the day went on I was talking my self out of going to the airport because I didn't want to drive there alone with the kids, not knowing where to go and how to get there. (Driving in the dark, with, screaming kids, no phone, and not knowing where to go stresses me out) But at the last minute I decided to go. I am so glad I did. When Jeffery left on his mission we didn't have any kids, I was like 8 months prego with Molly, so it was fun having him see them for the first time. It has been so fun having him back!

He kind of forgot how to hold a baby! But he quickly remembered and Colby loves him!
Isn't this picture of Jeff and my mother in law priceless! I love it she is so happy to have her last missionary home!Ahh I love this picture, Molly was a little scared of him but she too loves Uncle Jeffy, she talks about him and prays for him all the time!

We celebrated Thanksgiving with Aaron's family in Vernal. Thank goodness it was such perfect weather. There was a ton of family there, and I got to meet people for the first time. We stayed at Aaron's brothers house, which was super nice except that he has 3 roommates. They didn't bother us, but they were sure bothered by us. Oops! It will be so nice when he gets married in February then the roommates will be gone and he will have a big empty house for us to come stay in!

Wow I can't believe it is well into December already. We celebrated my nephew Brayden's birthday the first of December. He is 8 years old. We had a party at my house with Grandma Connie, me, Aaron, Molly, Colby, and Brayden's mom even was there. He had a good time. Brayden and Molly are best friends and so stonking cute together. We ate pizza, and had cheesecake, he opened presents, tried to build a gingerbread house but we decided to just frost and eat as we went. (they are no good after a month of sitting)

Aaron's work party was at OUR house. I am so glad it is over. I was so stressed about the house looking perfect all week, and hoping the food would turn out. But I think it turned out well. We had a potato bar with all the fixings. I even made homemade chili that was to die for!! It is fun to have our own house now and have people over! By the way we love visitors so come over!

We are looking forward to Christmas and spending time with our families. We hope everyone has a great Holiday season!
Okay so when I started this post it was like a month ago so forgive me but now that this is out of the way I can post about Christmas and all the latest happenings!

Stuff and Such

Wow we are still alive, just been slacking on the blogging world a bit. So much to write about, it has been like 2 months since I last posted. October is long over, November came and went, and we are now into December. I can't believe it. This will be a long post so I am sorry but I have to catch up then I am going to stay up on it.

October: We had the annual Goodrich Halloween mix up dinner. This is one of the funnest nights at my in laws. This year we each made two entrees for the dinner. Leslie made up the menu and we all order things but had no idea what we were ordering or what order it would all come in. We had lots of yummy food, bones, mummies and deadies, eyeballs, wombat toes, pond scum, ghosts on broomsticks, and Frankenstein delight, just to name a few things. The pond scum was by far the yuckiest!

Here are the fish eggs, that were in the pond scum!

We celebrated my niece, Kylah's 4th birthday. We took her to Pirate Island! This place was so much fun, way better than chuck e cheese and better food too. My cousin is a waiter there and it was fun to see him all dressed up like a pirate!

Brayden, Skyler, Michelle, and Kylah

The next day we frosted Halloween sugar cookies. The kids each frosted one and just wanted to eat it so me and Grandma Connie had to do the rest. Molly just licked all the frosting off her cookie! Then it was Halloween. Halloween day for us was moving day!! We moved into our house on Halloween. Thank goodness for family and friends that helped us all day. My mother in law took Molly the night before so we could pack and load, then they all met us at the new house and helped us unload. My mom and MIL helped me unbox my kitchen which is always the biggest project! The rest of the family was upstairs putting beds together and setting up the kids rooms. It was like Christmas. Aaron and I moved into the tiniest appartment when we got married and there was not really much of a kitchen so most of our stuff stayed in boxes, then we moved to my moms house and it all went into storage. It was so fun getting out all my tupperware!!! I had forgotten I had so much.

That night we decided to go back to Payson for trick or treating since we didn't know anyone at our new place. We were in such a hurry and a mess that I forgot the camera. Luckily I got a few of Molly before and my grandma got some of them on Halloween but I don't have the pictures from her. Molly was a carebear. The first costume she had was a bunny but she refused to put it on, then I bought her the cutest little elephant thinking she would love it because she loves Horton, WRONG she was terrified. My mom found the cutest carebear costume for her which was perfect because Molly has 4 of them that she carries everywhere and sleeps with. She calls them her babies. My mom even found the carebear costume that matched one of her babies. She didn't want to wear it at first but Aaron forced it on her then she didn't want to take it off. Colby was a puppy, we also had a bear costume from my sister but Molly wanted him to be a puppy. However I only have the pictures of him as a bear. He didn't mind either way what he was.

On to November; like I said it came and went so fast. Most of our days were spent unpacking and trying to get our home liveable. We still don't have things hung on the walls because I am wanting to paint and I am afraid if things get hung before the painting will never get done. One of the first couple of days of being in our house I was so tired of having Molly's help unpacking so I stuck her up in her highchair with snacks and a movie going, and when I came to check on her this is what I found

All the unpacking wore her out. It was so cute though I couldn't help but take a picture. Her little head was bobling all over.

In November Colby hit his 4 month mark which means a doctors visit. He was 17 pounds 9 oz !!!! Are you kidding, what a chunck! We started him on his rice cereal. I thought that he would eat like a champ since he is so big and he watches us like a little puppy dog when we eat but nope. He is not a fan. At first I thought it was just because he didn't know how but I think he just doesn't like it.

Fall Fun

We have been having so much fun the last few weeks. A couple weeks ago my grandma took us to the golf course to see the leaves. There are a few new holes at the course that go up into the canyon and it is gorgeous. Aaron loves to take pictures and I go to drive the golf cart. That is by far my favorite part. The golf course was covered in deer, there were also ducks that Molly loved.

The next weekend was conference. We spent the weekend with Aaron's family. Saturday was his niece Carlie's birthday so we had a little party in between sessions. It was fun to visit and spend time with them. Aaron's twin brother brought his girlfriend for the weekend too, who is a girl from Vernal that I played ball with growing up, small small world. So it was a lot of fun to reminisce of the good ol days.

Last week I took Molly to the pumpkin patch out at the big red barn in Santiquin. They took us on a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch and Molly LOVED it. She loved the tractor and the rows and rows of pumpkins. Then when we got back to the barn they gave us doughnuts and a coloring book. Molly picked out her very own pumpkin and we were getting ready to get back on the trailer when Molly said, "mom, what about daddy pumpkin." So we had to find daddy a pumpkin. Then she had to find Colby a pumpkin. She didn't seem concerned about mom not having a pumpkin but I did so I had to pick out my own. Man I sure know where I stand with Molly. Anyways she loved it so much that she talked about it for days and anybody she saw she would say, "Tractor, pumpkin ride fun!" Aaron felt a little left out so Monday was a Holiday and so we took her again. She had just as much fun the second time as she did the first.

Now we are just counting down the days until we close on our house. Things are moving much faster that planned and the closing date has moved to the 28th of October. Holy smokes that is 2 weeks away. So much to do.

This weekend is the annual Goodrich Halloween mix up dinner. It is always so much fun. We are excited, so get ready to enjoy some fun pictures.

Sorry for the picture overload, but enjoy the latest happening!

Pictures of the house

I went to the house today to take pictures, however, Aaron had the zoom lens on our camera and didn't know how to change it. So here is just a few of the house and I will take better ones this weekend.
Here is the view of the front from across the street, sort of like I said I didn't get any good pictures.

This is part of the front yard. We are on a corner lot, so we have a huge yard, and luckily it is all fenced.

This is the little pond thing in the back which will soon be a sand box. It scares me to bad to leave it with little kids.

This is the other side of the back yard. There is a garden and RV parking along the back of the fence.

Here is the only good picture of the inside of the house. My kitchen!!!! I love it and all the brand new stainless still appliances! Now I am going to have to cook.

New House

We just found out that the bank accepted our offer on a new house in Lehi!!! We can't believe it. We are so excited, if all goes well we will be closing on November 4, just in time for the tax credit and the snow.

Oh our little Molly girl is so funny. We love watching her entertain us. A couple of months ago she learned to count to 10. She gets really excited when she does it and it is so cute. She has also learned her ABC's but it is to hard to get her to hold still for the video that long so we will keep working on that. She is now 20 months old, but talks like a three year old. She has been putting 2-3 words together now for a while but now she just talks in full on sentences. It is fun to carry on a conversation with her.

She loves nursery, and when the music lady comes in, Molly pretty much run the place. Molly tells her exactly what songs they sing for the day. It is funny because Molly is so little compared to all the other kids, in fact some kids follow her around patting her on the head, while calling her baby.

She still isn't eating much, so she still isn't growing much. Colby is well on his way to surpassing her. She has finally started to grow out of some of her 12 month tops, but still wearing 12 month bottoms. I put her 18 month jeans on her the other day and the second she started walking they fell right off her little bum. So if anybodyhas ideas for me on how to get my kid to eat let me know.

We love you Molly and we think you are the smartest little girl ever!!

Colby had his 2 month check up last week, and he weighs in at a whopping 14 lbs 9 1/2 oz , and he is 24 1/2 inches long. He is a monster. He was off the charts for weight and 95 percentile in height. Both Colby and Molly wear 6-9 month clothes. I love his rolls and double chin. So fun to kiss. We love Colby, he has the biggest blue eye's that make my heart melt. He loves to be talked to. He has started to smile and coo at us. I can't believe how fast he is growing.

Payson Onion Days

Labor Day is Payson's big celebration. Friday we started the weekend by going to the carnival. Molly was such a chicken which I new would happen. I don't know why she is so scared of EVERYTHING but it drives me crazy. I tried to put her on every kid ride there but she screamed and I ended up taking her off. She wouldn't even do the big yellow slide. We then tried the merry-go-round. I tried putting her on a horse and she freaked, so her and I sat on the bench. She thought it was fun until the ride started. People probably thought I was so mean making her go on it but come on. Then we ate dinner at the park, my favorite part of Labor Day is all the food. I of course had my favorite Navajo taco. So good! Then we watched fireworks. All I can say is they were so LAME. Payson usually does a pretty good show but this year it was pathetic, not worth keeping kids up late for.

Saturday we went back to the park to walk around the booths, and watch my cousins go on rides. It was so fun to have the Burr's there this year. They moved to Florida, then to Organ, and now they are back in Utah. Molly absolutely loves my 8 year old cousin Jack. They are the best of friends. Then we watched the BYU game. My sister Melanie served her mission on OU campus so she is a huge OU fan. Boy was she disappointed.

Sunday was a relaxing day. After church my mom and I made Chinese food. We learned how to make it at Young Women's. We only made ham fried rice and egg rolls, it was too much work to do the chicken too. Oh man it was so good. Then we went to my grandparents to celebrate my aunt Nancy's birthday. Aaron came home and put Molly to bed and then we stayed up way late doing my aunt Joan, and Nancy's hair.

Monday was the Grand Parade. Grandpa saved us a great spot in the shade. Molly loved the helicopters that flew over head and hated the fire trucks. I don't blame her though they were super loud. Uncle Tony bought cotton candy for the kids and it was pretty entertaining. Molly wasn't sure about it, but once she tasted it she loved it. She ate so much candy. After the parade it was back to my Grandparents for a BBQ. We ate lunch had a quick nap, and back to the park. Aaron's parents called because the met up with Sisalee to get Alex and Ammon for the week while she went to a conference, and they were on their way through, so they stopped to say hi. We took the boys on some carnival rides. They loved the dragon roller coaster best. Alex wanted to go on this big kid ride, so Aaron went with him. While on the ride, Aaron asked him if he was having fun and he said, "ya it is fun but I think I am going to have a sick belly." What a brave boy. After they went on a few rides they went and played on the playground with Grandma. It was fun to have them stop by. We sat at the park and enjoyed the entertainment, had a texas twister, spud dog, and deep fried oreo's. Then we hurried home to welcome my aunt Marianne home from the US Open. She is amazing, she played in US Open and won gold in singles and doubles. I will post more when I get pictures.

We hope you all had a fun weekend.

Fun and Relaxing Weekend

We had such a great weekend. Friday was my birthday and it was such a good day. The kids were both so good. Every time someone would tell Molly to say, "Happy Birthday Mommy," she would say, "Happy Birthday Daddy," then laugh. That little runt is so funny. My aunt Marianne took me to lunch at Magleby's. It was yummy. Then my mom took the afternoon off and came hope to help with kids and I relaxed. Then Aaron surprised me and got off work early. He showed up with a huge bouquet of flowers. My mom took us all to dinner to Sizzler. Saturday Aaron got up with the kids and I slept in! We then got ready for the day and headed up to West Haven to hang out with Aaron's parents. They offered to watch the babies while we spent the day together. It was so nice. We haven't been on a date in well I can't remember. When we got back Leslie made a yummy dinner, Southwest egg rolls. Ah they are so good. Leslie offered to keep Molly for the rest of the weekend, so I jumped on the opportunity. It is weird not having her around but it is SO nice to have a break. Thank you family for making it such a great weekend!

Busy Month

Ok it is time to play catch up. It has been a busy month, but so much fun. We have spent a lot of time with family. First, my niece and nephew are back. Over Christmas break their dad practically kid napped them. He took them and let us have no contact with them. It was months of worrying and seeing my mom cry herself to sleep every night. He and his girlfriend are abusive and addicts. We are so grateful they are safe and back with us. We found out they were staying with their grandparents in Provo and she allowed them to sleepover a couple weeks ago. We had too much fun and there was lots of people for them to visit so we talked them in to letting them stay longer, go camping with my dad, and stay for Colby's blessing. After the blessing my mom received a phone call from the grandparents saying they don't want the kids back ever. So sad, but we were thrilled. The kids will be living with my dad and step mom. It has been fun spending time with themThe last week of July we spent in Ogden with Aaron's family. We had everyone together celebrating his sister Karissa'swedding. His parents reserved the copes course for us. It was a lot of fun. We played a lot of trust games. We had to hold on to a rope with our eyes shut and form a straight line going North and South, and make a square. This took a lot of communicating skills. These activities prepped us for other activities. We split into 2 groups. Once we did that we stood in a circle taking turns being in the middle. The person in the middle closed there eye's and fell into the others arms while holding really stiff, then got pushed around. After we all had a turn we did the trust fall. We took turns falling off a big platform into family members arms. It took a lot of coaxing to get me to do it. I was terrified and wanted so badly to back out. This was a great learning experience for me. As we fell, and caught others we had to trust, work together, and communicate. We were able to open up to each other, build testimonies, and become closer as a family. Then came the strength activities. Climbing and walking on a tight ropes. I was not able to participate in this due to just having a baby, so I was the photographer. It was fun to sit back and watch everyone and help cheer them on.

The rest of the week was spent getting ready for the wedding. The reception was in the back yard and it turned out perfect. The decorations, flowers, cake, weather, everything was great. It was so fun to see everyone, and spend time together. Karissa and Jeff make such a cute couple. We are so happy for them!

To top the week off we blessed Colby on the 2nd. It was a nice day. We are so grateful for our family and friends, and all love and support they give us. After the blessing we had a luncheon at the park across from our church. We have pictures of family but none of Colby in his little white suite. Like all new borns do, right after church he had an accident. But don't worry I am going to get his pictures done in it so you can all see how handsome he looked.

2 Weeks and 18 Months

Oh my babies are growing too fast. My mom and I took them to the doctor yesterday for their checkups. Thank goodness for my mom. I honestly don't know how people do anything with more than one kid. There was no way I could have even made in the front door if my mom didn't come. She keeps telling me I will learn and I keep telling her How? This was really our first big outing since Colby was born. I know really exciting going to the doctor, but we met Aaron after work and he took us to dinner after so that was fun.

Anyway, the visit went surprisingly well. Molly didn't need any shots so that was good. She weighed 21 pounds and was 31 inches. She is still really small but she jumped up to the 10th percentile and has gained 2 pounds in three months. Don't ask me how she gained any weight because she eats nothing but somehow she managed. The doc was shocked at how smart she is, and now we are on to potty training.

Colby is growing so fast. He weighed 9 lbs 6 oz, and 22 inches. So if you do the math he is only 9 inches shorter than Molly. That seemed so crazy to me so we put Colby next to her and sure enough 9 inches. My mom says he is going to out grow her. He has been such a good baby. He sleeps all day and does pretty good at night.

It has been challenging trying to adjust to two kids, and it still is. At times it is exhausting and all I want to do is cry or scream, but luckily the good out weighs the hard. I love them. They are such sweet little spirits. I am grateful that the Lord trusts me with His precious children. We have lots of pictures but I don't have time to upload them but soon I will do it.

So Proud

Yesterday, Aaron received a phone call from the vice president of the credit union and she offered him a new job. He is going to be the manager of the American Fork Walmart branch. What a huge blessing this is for our family. Aaron had interviewed for this position in the past and did not get it. He was discouraged, but we knew it was not the right time for him and our family. However, we didn't know when there would be another opportunity to advance because of the economy and the slow down in the growth of the credit union. We are so excited for this step in Aaron's career. I am so proud of Aaron. He has worked so hard to get to where he is in his career, and he is continuing to excel in his schooling. We recognize the Lord's constant hand in our life. We have been so blessed. Now we can start looking more serious about moving into a house of our own!!!

Best Big Sister

Molly has been so good with Colby. Whenever he squawks she stops what she is doing, runs over to him, and says hi baby. It is so cute. It is challenging trying to teach her to be soft but she is learning. Molly always wants to hold him, kiss him, and still his binky. It has been so good to have Aaron off work it will definitely be an adjustment when he goes back.

This is a picture of Molly with my aunt Marianne. Marianne watched her on Monday when we went to the hospital. They came later that afternoon for Molly to see her brother and she was wearing her Big Sister shirt I made her.
The first day Molly visited us she was not a fan of the baby. I think there was just too many people there and she didn't like seeing me in the bed. However, the next day she couldn't get enough of him. It was the cutest thing in the world. She kissed him over and over. We took a video of her holding him and when we asked her if she was all done she said no, then I tried to take him and she was not happy. She loves to hold her baby. I will have Aaron post the video, I don't know how.
Who has more hair?

Colby Aaron Goodrich

We are excited to announce the birth of our new little boy. Colby Aaron was born July 6, 2009 at 1:22pm. He weighed 7lbs 15 oz and is 20 inches long. He has more hair than Molly that automatically styles into a foehawk. He loves the binky already. Mom and baby are doing well.

Sunday, July 5, 2009

Well it is official. We just got the call from the hospital, and I am the first on the list for the induction. They said they would be calling us to come in Monday around 6 am. It is crazy to think it is finally here. Am I ready? I just pray that it all goes smoothly. I guess it hasn't been long enough for me to forget the miserable delivery and after math with Molly. Check back tomorrow for the new addition. We still have not agreed on a name, so we will see who wins.

Baby Update

I had a doctor's appointment on Tuesday and it was with a new doctor because mine was out of town. First off many of you know that the baby has been breach this entire time and I was told the doctor was going to try to manually flip him. I was terrified. Then the doctor being a good friend of ours said to get a blessing and have our families fast for us. So with much fasting and prayers, (and little faith on my part) the baby flipped!!! I am so grateful. Anyway I am scheduled to be started on the 6th of July but on Tuesday the doctor I saw said I was dialated to a 3 and 100%, so he wanted to send me to the hospital to get started. I however wasn't exactly ready. Aaron's schedule this week has been crazy. Tons of homework, in charge of a leadership training, and an added calling as Cub Master, has him pretty stressed this week. We decided we would wait until our regular doctor came back this coming Tuesday. I 'll be honest the thought of having another kid any day is scary. However, we are excited for this next phase of life no matter how hard it is. We can't wait to meet our little guy!

Happy Father's Day!

Aaron, we hope you had a great Father's Day. You are the best dad ever. Molly is a total daddy's girl, and I love it. We are so grateful for your sacrifices you make in our behalf, work, school, and church. You are a wonderful example of service. A great quality to teach our kids. I am grateful for your constant concern for me, especially now. You are always so helpful with Molly and things around the house. Thank you for all you have taught me, for your testimony, faith, encouragement, love, support, and most of all for being such a good and involved dad. I love watching you with Molly and the joy you bring to her, I can't wait for baby boy to join our family. We love you!

Molly's Tubes

Thursday morning Molly went in for surgery, to get tubes put in her ears. A very common procedure done to most kids. She always had ear infections and chronic fluid in her ears. She also doesn't eat anything, so we are hoping that it is because of the fluid in her ears. If not we will be seeing the nutritionist. Anyway, I was so nervous about the surgery even though it is quick and common. The thought of putting Molly under and not getting to be there with her was scary to me. We had to be checked in at the hospital at 6:00 AM. I was also worried about having to wake her up so early and not being able to give her a sippy cup because she had to fast. Little did I know when she woke up at 5:30 it only took a few minutes for her to wake up she was happy as could be and giggling the whole way to the hospital. However, it didn't take long before she knew something was up. She hates the doctor. She won't let them do anything. So when they took her back they just had her stand on a scale to get weighed but when I went to lift her on it she wouldn't even put her feet down, and that was just the start. They couldn't measure her or get her vitals, if anyone talked to her she screamed worse, then more nurses tried talking to her and she was not happy. After signing a million papers and talking to all of the staff involved they took my baby from my arms. I could hear her screaming all down the hall, and that is when I lost it. Ok ok I am a cry baby, but I am pregnant so I have an excuse right? The procedure only took about 15 minutes and then she was moved to recovery to wake up from the anesthesia. It took her longer then most babies to come out of it. She was pretty grumpy for the first couple of hours being home and she was totally uncoordinated. She did back flips all the way down the stairs, and walked like she was drunk. Luckily she is back to her silly little self again. I tried to take pictures of her in the cute little hospital PJ's but our camera is stupid, so no pictures.

A Prayer for Michelle

Many of you that know my family, know that it is a constant struggle with my sister Michelle. It is a never ending battle with her. It is heartbreaking to watch her ruin her life and the life of her innocent kids. Michelle has been heavily into drugs for some time now, and was court ordered to finish a rehab, and never did. Since she walked from the center she has continued to down fall. She hasn't had a job in probably 2 years, no place to live, and the worst part has basically given up on her kids. Her kids mean the world to us. My nephew Brayden lived with us last year and he and Molly became best of friends. When we got Brayden he was just starting Kindergarten. He new nothing. Not even letters. He tested as the lowest kid in the entire school. It was so fun to watch him thrive as the year went on. He learned to read anything put in front of him, math, writing, etc. He loved school. By the end of the year he tested the highest in fact at a 2nd grade level. My sister and her husband had my niece Kylah who was 2 and basically addicted to drugs, way malnourished, and out of control. She also thrived into a whole new girl. Over Christmas break they were with their other grandparents visiting, and their dad came and took them for good. He is also a drug addict and abusive. He doesn't want the kids at all but just wants to make my sister mad. We have no contact with the kids now, we don't know where they live and their dad has blocked every number we try to call from. We are constantly worrying and praying that the kids will be safe but it is out of our control. My sister has custody of the kids but she is not changing her ways to get them and take care of them.

This weekend we got a phone call from Michelle saying she was arrested and taken to jail. Which is actually probably the best place for her because we know she is safe, off drugs, has a bed,and getting fed. She calls everyday multiple times begging to be bailed out. It is difficult to sit back and watch this all happen. The hardest part is not seeing the kids, and not knowing if we ever will. We just hope and pray that one day Michelle will take control of her life and start putting her kids first. I don't know how anyone could ever let their kids go, they deserve so much more.
